Proposals for stories are always welcome from staff and industry. We are looking for stories that directly demonstrate the HCT’s commitment to excellence in education, our high achieving students and faculty in addition to major milestones, news and events. We also consider story ideas in content outline format.

To be considered for publication the story should have a photo or the opportunity to take some photos that will complement the story. Please limit your article to 300 – 500 words.

All stories submitted to Al Rawi should be accompanied by a photo which must meet the following criteria:

• The image must promote the story in a visual manner.
• The image must be clear and bright.
• If the image is of people, faces must be clearly visible. With women’s college students, written permission must be attained before publication.
• Photos of 2 or 3 people actively doing something that relates to the story are infinitely preferable to lines of people looking at the camera!
• Try to include photos that have interesting angles and depths.
• Digital images must be of high resolution (300dpi), at least 500KB jpeg.

If you cannot supply a high resolution image or an original print, we can in some instances arrange a photographer to take an image on location. If original photos are sent, please include your name and college on the back of them.
