Chancellor & President/CEO

The management of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) is administered by the Chancellor and President/CEO (formerly known as the Vice Chancellor), who report to the HCT Board of Trustees. His Excellency Mohammad Omran Al Shamsi was appointed as Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology in April 2013. He was succeeded by His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al-Falasi, who was appointed to the position in April 2018. The Chancellor is also a member of the HCT’s Board of Trustees and is the legal representative of the HCT system.

Dr Abdullatif Al Shamsi was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology in March 2015. This title has been changed to President/CEO, as of August 2018. He is also a member of the HCT’s Board of Trustees and is responsible for the management of the HCT and the implementation of its regulations and resolutions.

Deputy Vice Chancellors

The HCT’s day-to-day operations are managed through four (4) Divisions, which oversee the core areas of Administrative Affairs, Academic Affairs, Campus Operations and Strategy & Future.

Each of these four Divisions is led by a Deputy Vice Chancellor, who reports directly to the President/CEO. Further information about the Divisions and the Deputy Vice Chancellors can be found on the following links.
