Biography
Dr. Peter Heath is the Graduate Program Chair for Engineering & IT at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT). Peter was born and educated in Canada, focusing on Mathematics during his university days. He quickly shifted to the world of IT, working as a self-employed consultant, a college faculty member and a training developer in the telecom industry. Peter joined HCT in 2004, teaching in the IT faculty at Abu Dhabi Men’s College, primarily in networking and operating systems. Peter became Chair of IT programs at Abu Dhabi Men’s College in 2009 and then moved to his current position in 2011. Peter has also pursued his interest in open source software, e-learning and IT service management. Of particular interest is the interplay between culture and IT. Peter is passionate about quality and contextualization in education.
