Biography
Dr. Salam A. Hoshang, is a German citizen, was born in Kuwait, and received his Master of Applied Computer Science in Medicine from the University of Heidelberg and his Ph.D. in Economics, Specialization Information Technology from the University of Stettin.
He has over 20 years of international business and IT consulting including 10 years of university lecturing experience in Germany and seven year of academic activities and lecturing experience in Thailand. He was Head of the Computer Science Department at the Academy for International Management in Germany. Dr. Hoshang worked as an international IT consultant at T-Systems in Darmstadt, Germany, and was involved in international consulting and development of IS projects with major enterprises in Europe.
Dr. Hoshang joined the Graduate Studies & Research as a Faculty member in the IT Master Program at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in January 2012.
Before joining HCT, he was at Asian University as Acting Dean of the Business Faculty, Head of the MIS Department, and MBA Thesis and PhD advisor.
His objective is “To utilize his German education and discipline and The Gulf aspiration, to transform the students into successful and outstanding leaders of the future.”
